About the Show
From December 4th thru the 6th, New Orleans once again transformed itself into a maritime arena for the International WorkBoat Show and WorkBoat Annual Conference, the conference and expo for owners, operators, vendors and sellers of commercial vessels. The event, which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, attracts 15,000 maritime enthusiasts to learn about the latest innovations within the industry and connect with leading experts in the field. Representing Daman at the 2019 show was Southwest Account Manager Stevie Treece who shared some of the highlights of the event.
The International WorkBoat Show and WorkBoat Annual Conference is the place to be for all things maritime. Encompassing all types of marine vessels from military to barge, jack up boats to tug boats, the event offers something for everyone involved in the maritime industry.
Presented as a component of the International WorkBoat Show, the WorkBoat Annual Conference is a collaborative effort put on by WorkBoat.com, WorkBoat Magazine and the WorkBoat Content Team. Broken up across a three-day period, the WorkBoat Annual Conference focused on five main sectors: “Maintenance & Repair,” “Tugs & Coastal Towing,” “Shipyards,” “Inland Waterways & Passenger Vessel” and “Offshore.” Each program was custom designed to provide high-level education and networking opportunities in a comprehensive format.
The cornerstone of the program was the intensive half-day sessions that allowed participants to learn from industry leaders and acquire hands-on experience dealing with today’s maritime opportunities and challenges.
Why does Daman attend the International WorkBoat Conference?
Daman attends to support the distribution network, as many of our maritime customers are in attendance. This is a great chance for us to explore opportunities in the coming year as well as better understand the challenges faced by our customer and their customer.
Over the course of this three-day event, we were able to acquire better insights into industry trends and future predictions. This, in turn, allows us to better serve our distributors by providing the best possible products and services.
