Daman is putting its practices to work and sharing our philosophies and learning programs with others in our community.  Below are programs that we make available to our employees, members of our industry and our regional community to cultivate a learning environment of continuous improvement at both professional and personal levels of development.

'Aspiring to LEAN' Plant Tour and Onsite Learning Experience

Daman staff offers a half-day program to community and business partners, sharing how our lean and continuous improvement philosophy and practices have shaped our culture. The program typically starts with a presentation in our Learning Center about our lean and continuous improvement journey, followed by a plant tour, and ends with a roundtable Q & A. Program length can be customized to meet your organization's needs. We request that in lieu of pay, donations can be made to Daman Products which are set aside for funding our Fluid Power Challenge (FPC). The FPC is an event for the 7th and 8th-grade students in our area. It is an opportunity that teaches students about hydraulic applications and challenges them to use what they have learned.

The Dave Ramsey Financial Peace at Work (FPW) Program

Financial problems among the workforce are chronic. Our desire to help Daman staff gain financial control in their lives led us to The Dave Ramsey Financial Peace at Work (FPW) Program. This training was so successful at Daman that every 18 months, we offer the program to our business partners and their employees. The 13-week program is led by Krysten Shoulders, Daman HR Director and certified FPW instructor. Krysten was trained at Dave Ramsey University in 2007 and is a seasoned facilitator.

Dave Ramsey is best known for his national talk radio show "The Dave Ramsey Show" and for his most recent New York Times best-seller, The Total Money Makeover. FPW is an intense program full of common sense. The program teaches you how to eliminate financial challenges by learning to spend wisely and save more to be able to live the American Dream. The average family completing this 13-week program eliminates $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 91 days. We have seen and heard testimonials from our employees that have changed their financial situations by practicing the principles taught through this course.

Internally, we are committed to the health and wellness of our Daman employees.  Each year we provide a number of programs, such as the following, that are dedicated to providing our employees with the power of knowledge and tools to improve and enhance their quality of life.
